Meet Dr. Branen

More Than 27 Years of Breathtaking Smiles

Dr. Branen has a true passion for dentistry and has developed close relationships with both his patients, specialist colleagues and his team at Lake Grove Dental. He shares his love of dentistry with his wife Ruthanne, who is a skilled dental hygienist. They met while attending Spokane Community College.

In 1989, Dr. Branen and Ruthanne moved to Oregon, where she attended the OHSU School of Dentistry for hygiene. At that time, Dr. Branen realized how much his detail-oriented and artistic skills in jewelry design were linked to dentistry, so he chose to pursue a dental career.

Ruthanne worked for many years with Dr. Gordon Wiltshire, the founder of Lake Grove Dental. Since Dr. Wiltshire and Dr. Branen shared the goal of improving people’s lives through compassionate, accessible, and painless dentistry. After several years of working as an associate to Dr. Wiltshire, Dr. Branen assumed ownership of Lake Grove Dental. Dr Wiltshire retired after 53 years of service at age 85.

Your Lake Oswego dentist has more than 27 years of experience in helping patients from all backgrounds and ages reach their dental goals. He owned a practice for several years in Northeast Portland but sold it to become the lead dentist at Lake Grove Dental. Since then, he has gained a glowing reputation in the dental community and maintains strong links with local dentists. He has also committed his time to volunteer at the Mission of Mercy and other community outreach programs.
